Mao ("hairy" or 'fur") Feng ("peak" or "point") has been growing in the Anhui Province of China for more than 300 years. It's made using traditional processing methods devised in the late Qing Dynasty.
Plucked in early Spring, and consisting of only one leaf and a bud, the leaves are then withered, pan fired, and finally finished over hardwood charcoal. This process imparts some amazing and complex flavors that we know you'll enjoy discovering!
Caffeine Level: Medium
Flavor Profile: Mild non-astringent, buttery with a mouthwatering aftertaste. Slightly grassy with a savory undertone. Finishes with sweet apricot and peach notes.
Brewing: Use 1 teaspoon of tea leaves per cup. 8oz water at 175°F. Steep for 2 minutes. Good for multiple infusions.
